When people come to Reiki, they’re often hoping to feel better. And while that absolutely happens—relaxation, relief, even radiant joy—what they don’t always expect is the unraveling. The discomfort. The release.
Because Reiki isn’t a quick fix. It’s a sacred disruption.
It stirs the pot. It shakes loose what you’ve outgrown. It’s the gentle nudge—and sometimes the cosmic shove—you didn’t realize you needed.
Reiki is the permission slip your soul has been waiting for.
It says, "Let it go now. You're safe."
It creates space in your body, mind, and energy field to finally sift through what’s stagnant, heavy, and draining. Sometimes, it brings up old emotions or aches that were buried. Sometimes it clears them so fast it leaves you feeling wide open.
Either way, Reiki always works for your highest good. Your body will release what it’s ready to release, no sooner, no later. Not to punish you—but to liberate you.
This is the truth of energy healing: You are the healer. Reiki is the conduit.
And when you choose Reiki, you’re affirming your desire to come back into full alignment with your radiant, powerful, peaceful self.
But that path? It’s not passive.
It’s an invitation to walk into the fire of transformation with your heart wide open.
So here are three of my favorite ways to support yourself after a Reiki session—because integration is where the magic lands.
1. Water, Water, Water
And then some more water.
Your body is dissolving and processing old, stuck energy like it’s metabolizing a heavy meal. So drink water like it’s your job. Add lemon, add salt, take a bath, cry in the shower—just flood your system with flow. And yes, sweat counts too. Dance, walk, sauna, stretch. Move the energy. Release the remnants.
2. Practice the Sacred Pause
Stillness isn’t just for your yoga mat. It’s for the everyday transitions:
Before you open a door. Before you start your car. Before the first bite. Before you scroll.
These tiny pauses train your nervous system to stop, feel, and listen.
Your intuition lives there—in the pause. And after Reiki, your body will start speaking more clearly. Learn its language. Respond with kindness.
Take the nap. Eat the fruit. Cry it out. Laugh out loud. Go outside. You’ll know what you need—if you slow down enough to hear it.
3. Journal...Especially the Weird Sh*t
Light a candle. Burn some sage. Pour your tea. And write.
Don’t worry about what comes out. Let it be messy. Let it be nonsense. Let it be raw.
This is a nervous system cleanse in pen form (or laptop form, if you prefer). Ten minutes of mind dumping in the morning clears the emotional cobwebs. You’ll feel the shift. It’s like showering your spirit, no wet water needed.
There are a hundred more things I could recommend—but these three? They’re gold.
And if you give them your presence, your spirit will carry you the rest of the way.
The nudges will come. The guidance will speak. The transformation will unfold.
Because Reiki isn’t the end result. It’s the catalyst.
And you, beautiful soul, are the sacred revolution.
Basking in blissful light,
– B
